Season Greetings from Your Team!

The HEAT your Junior Hockey Team heads off for a brief seasonal break with the players joining their familys and friends.  They headed down to Penticton on Wednesday December 14th to take on the Lakers and came away with a very hotly contested outing…but it was an overtime win for our side!  After being down 2 goals half way through the second period local ace Isaac Williard scored on the powerplay.  The Lakers got that one back before Jared Seutter and Derek Miskiman evened things up in the third.  Overtime lasted all of 26 seconds when Seutter potted his second of the contest.  Russell Sanderson went the distance between the posts. Seutter was first star with Sanderson getting the nod as third star…a very nice gift indeed!

An earlier article outlined the players from afar and this time we feature the BC Boys.  Austin Hirano from Fernie, Reece Forman and Mark Boyce hail from 100 Mile House, Dylan Richardson and Mackenzie Guardiero from Williams Lake, Derek Miskiman and Aiden Silzer-Hooker from Revelstoke, Jordan Steel from Kelowna, Jacob Mattes from Kamloops, and Russell Sanderson from Merritt.  There is a chunk of the crew from the Armstrong-Vernon postal code; Ethan Kalugin, Jared Seutter and Owen Barker.  Then we have the real locals…Dominick Hodges from Scotch Creek, Kevin Leschuk from Blind Bay, Wade Cline from Pritchard, Jarrett Arnouse from ALIB and Isaac Willard who lives a couple blocks east of the rink!

The boys along with the Hockey Operations Staff and the HEAT Jr. Hockey Society wish our volunteers, fans and you and all your loved ones all the best as we enjoy family and friends and turn the corner to 2012.
